Details
Camping at the Pocahontas ($57.50 for 2 nights total for a tent). Park has a swimming pool, a great mountain bike trail, lake and individual electricity and water at the campsite. We can also canoe/kayak on the James River about 30 minutes away in Richmond. You will need a good mountain bike and helmet as the trails are hard. If you do not have a canoe/kayak/mountain bike we maybe able to provide one. This trip is a lot of fun and the only hard part is the mountain biking. The rest is pretty easy. You can stay either one to three days. Check out the website for the park. http://www.reserveamerica.com/camping/Pocahontas_State_Park/r/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=VA&parkId=140180. Everybody is on their own for dinner but we can meetup at our campsite for campfires and fellowship. I am at campsite #26. You can come up just for the day if you want.
Directions
In Chesterfield County, about 20 miles from Richmond. From I-95, take Exit 61 and go west on Route 10 to Route 655 which is Beach Road; or take Exit 67, go north on Route 150 to Route 10; go east to Beach Road. The park is four miles on right; or take Route 288 from I-95 to Route 10 East and go one mile to Beach Road. Follow park signs from there
