Camping/Biking/Swimming/Kayaking/Canoe
Great trip, excellent weather, good friends
The trip report
Started on Friday by canoeing/kayaking the lake at the campgrounds followed by dinner at a member's house and hot tub afterwards. Saturday - major bike riding on the mountain trails at the campgrounds including lunch followed by another canoe trip to the lake and then hit the pool. Sunday - Canoeing/kayaking the James River along with lunch and another stop at the pool. It does not get any better than this.

About this event
Camping at the Pocahontas ($57.50 for 2 nights total for a tent). Park has a swimming pool, a great mountain bike trail, lake and individual electricity and water at the campsite. We can also canoe/kayak on the James River about 30 minutes away in Richmond. You will need a good mountain bike and helmet as the trails are hard. If you do not have a canoe/kayak/mountain bike we maybe able to provide one. This trip is a lot of fun and the only hard part is the mountain biking. The rest is pretty easy. You can stay either one to three days. Check out the website for the park. http://www.reserveamerica.com/camping/Pocahontas_State_Park/r/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=VA&parkId=140180. Everybody is on their own for dinner but we can meetup at our campsite for campfires and fellowship. I am at campsite #26. You can come up just for the day if you want.
