The trip report

Written by GpD

We were very lucky to have a great experience at Boston Pride this year. The weather was great and the turnout was tremendous! Our booth was very busy recruiting new members, answering questions, and handing out raffle tickets! The booth was hopping! We heard from multiple people that we were a hotspot in our wing!

We had 75 participants register to enter the raffle!!! Congratulations to our raffle winners! Tye won an REI Traverse Backpack and James won a gift certificate to Ragged Mountain Resort! I want to send everyone who joined Gay Outdoors this weekend a warm welcome. We're looking forward to seeing you soon at one (or more) of our trips!

A personal thank you is in order to all of the volunteers who came to make this experience so wonderful! So, THANK YOU to Carl, Craig, Don, Jason, John, Keith, Paul, Ricardo, and Steve! You all were a great team! Special thanks to Bob, Donovan, Olavo, and Joshua & Aspen (our mascot) for spending so much time there supporting us. I know you didn't officially sign up to volunteer to help, but you did anyway, and your presence was welcomed and appreciated!

We look forward to Manchester Pride on June 27th! If you didn't make it out to Boston Pride, please consider signing up to volunteer at Manchester Pride or simply swing over to say hi!

About this event

We’re looking for a bunch of outgoing GOers who are willing to help table during Boston Pride. The goal of tabling is to spread the word of Gay Outdoors and to recruit new members! As many of us know, GO is a wonderful community who share a passion for the great outdoors, and provides members with an opportunity to socialize, be more active, and find adventure! Boston Pride can help prospective members find us! We’re hoping to have a good number of volunteers to help staff the booth between 11:30 and 6:15 pm. We also need someone to load in early. Load in times will be assigned to us sometime between 6:30 am and 9 am. I'm hopeful that someone local is willing to take on that responsibility. Once we get closer to the date, we'll schedule a zoom meeting to discuss details for the day of the festival. If you are interested in helping, please sign up and let me know which hour(s) you’ll be available to volunteer in the comments section!

Happy to help anytime during the day (even setup, despite my general allergy to timestamps with an "a" before an "m"). Thanks!

Keith, I appreciate your willingness to brave the the "am" setup challenge! I am sadly afflicted with that allergy too, lol! I'm looking forward to another good pride season.
Don59 · Apr 30, 2026
I am willing to help wherever needed. Looking forward to this, will be my first Boston Pride!!

I'll end up calling pooling in with Don59, so what he ends up signing up for count me in for that too. ??

Happy and excited to join the group and help anyway I can. I'm local so I can take on the responsibility to load (not sure what task that is) but count me in for that.
