The trip report
Written by Bobcat
We had awesome mid-winter conditions for the North & South Kinsmans hike- snow-packed trails with no ice, bright blue sunny skies, snow plastered trees, light winds and a spectacular undercast at the viewpoint on Mt. North Kinsman! We were able to hike at a fairly quick pace because of the great conditions so were able to do both summits of Kinsman & still finish by about 2PM!

About this event
Join us on this 8.2-mile out-and-back trail near Sugar Hill, New Hampshire. Generally considered a challenging route with an elevation gain of 3218 feet, it takes an average of 5 h 45 min to complete.
The first two miles of the hike are relatively flat, with the majority of the elevation gain coming during the third and fourth miles on the ascent. Microspikes will be needed. An update on trail conditions will be sent out a few days before the hike.
Hikers are invited to an apres hike potluck/get-together after the hike at my house in Sugar Hill NH (10 minutes from trailhead).
If you have questions about winter hiking or gear needed, please email me. Hikers can stay at my house (5 min from trailhead) on Friday and/or Saturday nights if desired.
