About this event

If you are on the wait list for this hike, you can attend. It will be great to see you!

Dan & Chuck will be hiking the 5.3 mile loop hike of Mt Morgan and Mt Percival. Meet at the Mt Morgan trailhead at 10:45 for an 11 am start. Bring water, snacks and wear hiking shoes. This hike is rated moderate, but you need to have hiked recently or been active in some capacity. This is not a good hike to start your hiking career on.

Both summits have great views over Squam Lake. Dan will bring driving from Hyde Park, Boston to the trail head on Monday and meeting Chuck who will be coming south. I can take 2 others in my car. This hike will be postponed if there is precipitation in the forecast for this day. There are optional ladders and caves for those who like that kinda thing. We will relax for about 10 minutes on each summit to enjoy the views. Total car to car time should be about 4.5 hours. After the hike we plan to have a nice turkey dinner at Harts Turkey Farm, maybe with a piece of pie! (https://www.hartsturkeyfarm.com/). I will be driving back to Boston with hopes to be in town after the traffic settles down but home by 7 pm.https://www.hartsturkeyfarm.com/

Sorry to back out at the last minute, but I have been having a foot issue and It's too swollen today to risk a hike.
