Rose River Trail was a great hike
The trip report
Written by a former member
This was a great hike and I brought along my sleeping hammock and boy was I glad I did. A perfect 60 min nap by a babbling brook. We did cross paths with a rather larger Timber Rattler, but just admired it was it went on by without a hesitation or concern we were so close ot it.

In Central Shenandoah National Park, just north of the Byrd Visitor's Center, Big Meadows, there are quite a few nice trails with water views. Join us for a great morning hike for a moderately easy 6 Mile hike.
