Jul 25th: 1st Night, Big Meadows Campground, Shenandoah NP

We welcomed a new camper from Buchanan VA, which isn't too far from Shenandoah.  We had a very quiet night once camp was set up.  We cooked burgers and chowed down on fruit, veggies, and a coconut cake!  Nothing like splurging when you are on vacation

Located at mile 51.2 of Skyline Drive, Big Meadows Campground is near many of the major facilities and popular hiking trails in the park. Three waterfalls are within walking distance; the Meadow, with its abundant plant growth and wildlife, is close by.

I have extra tents, sleeping bags, and pads if you don't have your own.  Bring clothing for mountain camping—long sleeve shirts, jackets, rain-proof poncho, etc.
