About this event
Hiking the Hillsborough River State Park Rapids, Baynard and Seminole Trails ( about 6 miles total). Terrain is moderate with some tricky footing areas over tree roots on incline/declined trails and areas of heavy wild hog rutting. Trails are mostly in shade, varying from riverside to deep canopy coverage. Bugs are minimal this time of year. Meeting to hike and discuss forming a local group to hike and camp in our area. Prefer guys only. Leashed pets are permissable as long as they are people friendly AND you bring disposal bags to clean up after them. Strictly abide by the Leave No Trace pledge. This is a State Park, so admission is $4 per person or $6 per vehicles with multiple passengers. Meeting at the Park Map Board - Parking Lot#3 (Picnic Area). Bring plenty of water and snacks as well as whatever you'd like for lunch. We can eat in the picnic area after hiking and decide if we want to make a regular event out of this.
