The trip report
I had a great time hosting wonderful guys at the house for the food, hike, and hot tub.
Thanks to all who generously brought food. We had more than enough for everyone, witth plenty of leftovers still in my fridge.
And I enjoyed wandering aimlessly through the forest responding to "The Book of Questions." The weather was a bit cold, but with the sun out and little breeze, it was quite comfortable.
The hot tub was just big enough to comfortably sit the six of us who stayed after the hike, but we would have gladly squeezed together to fit in more!

About this event
Let's get together at my house in Coventry, CT for a winter hike, potluck, and fellowship. While I was hoping there would be snow to go snow shoeing, the warm weather has melted all the snow, so we'll hike instead.
We will meet at the house and go on an easy to moderate nature hike through the 43 acres of woods in the back of the house. Parts of the woods have trails, and in other parts we'll be blazing through. The particularly adventurous can walk across the fallen tree to cross the stream.
Bring some food to share if you want. I'm planning BBQ pulled pork, some vegetarian options, and whatever else I can scrounge up. I'll have hot mulled apple cider, sodas, and other drinks, but if you want something specific, feel free to bring some to share with all.
After the hike, we'll lounge by the fireplace if it's cold enough to have one. There should also be time for a soak in the hot tub or a stretch in the sauna for those interested. Bring a towel, but bathing suits are not necessary.
For those who can, try to carpool to make parking easier. I'll send more specific information on directions after you've signed up.
