Allaire Mountain Bike Ride
Allaire is always a good place to ride
The trip report
Today, Scott & Matt, Mark Rob, Alan and I did about 11 miles. Alan was new to riding with the OutBike OffRoad group so we tried not to overwhelm him. A little mid-ride rain didn't dampen our spirits but it made the leaf covered trails a little more challenging. The hog bog cyclocross was good for more than a few laps. We got a little lost on the pink trail but Scott found the way out. Next time we'll start over there. Other highlights: Princess Palace. Lawn chair & Mr Monster Truck? Butt crack shoulder scar. Bald is beautiful. Leaves over sand? How hard can it be? ?? As hard as a Mag Lite. ??

About this event
We'll be doing a Mountain Bike Ride at Allaire State Park on Saturday the 7th of November, meeting at 10:00am.
Allaire is a great place to ride at any time of the year. The trails are good for any skill level riders. The terrain is mostly sandy, with some roots and logs to hop. It's the beginning of the Pinelands so there are some hills on the mostly single-track trails We'll do several different loops for a total of about 14 miles.
RSVP to Geoff by Friday the 6th. Otherwise, meet at the Hospital Road parking lot at 10:00 AM. We may stop at the Country Store after riding for a bite to eat.
As always, significant rains at the time of the ride will cancel. Ice, blizzards and temps below 30 can also cancel. If you RSVP, you will be contacted about any ride status changes.
The Rules:
1. Make sure your bike is in good working order. Clean and lube your chain, pack a spare tube, and a bike pump.
2. Always bring identification: driver's license, emergency phone number, and health insurance card.
3. Wear a helmet. It is required. No ifs ands or buts. Eye protection is also highly recommended.
4. Bring water. Two water bottles and/or a camelback are recommended.
5. Bring food. Fig Newton's, fruit, raisins, Power or Cliff Bars, or a packet or two of energy gel.
6. Bring money. Great to have on you for snacks or an after ride meal.
