The trip report

Super day, perfect weather. Took a short hike before lunch around a lake near by Rainbow Mt.  Then hit the pool and chilled the rest of the day, catching up with long time GO members. Many of our core members attended and a couple from way down in Delaware joined us too (thanks guys for coming all the way up to the Poconos to join us.) Great company as always. Will miss summer, but we got a few good trips scheduled or planned for autumn guys!

About this event

(This is a rescheduled event that had been cancelled earlier in the month, so now’s your chance to join in) Meet at 11:15 AM on the front porch of Rainbow Mt. LGBTI Resort main lodge (see pic above). (For those that want to we'll stick together as a group, but don't feel obligated as it's a day of relaxing and experiencing at your own pace). From there we will go to the pool area (they charge a fee to enter; I think it is $7/person). Pick your lounge chair (hopefully we can get a spot that we can all be together). At 12:30 we will head on up to their outside dinning area for a group lunch. Afterwards, return to the pool/bar area for some fun in the sun. Their pool is huge. Bring your towel and sun screen (small beach umbrellas that attach to lounge chairs is good idea too). They have changing rooms but best to wear your swim suite there (can bring change of clothes later to go home). They also have a path around the pond we can take a short hike on. (Note: it’s Men's Weekend at Rainbow Mt. LGBTI Resort.) Later if you wish and want to stick around, they serve dinner starting at, other restaurants in the area too down the Mt. The night club opens at 8pm if want to stay for that.  In-between they have lots of shopping areas I can point you to down the Mt. or you can go up the Mt. to a hiking area/park. If you want to stay for the whole weekend, please call Rainbow Mt. ASAP to make your own reservations. Lot's in the Pocono area to do for the weekend. Look on line and or ask me where to go/what to do (outlets, hiking, water parks, river adventures, restaurants, etc.)  (NOTE: Bring small bills to make change for lunch, everyone pays for what they eat and drink plus 20% tip and tax please! No charge cards get cash night before you leave please. They have a bar near the pool too; I think that is cash only)
