Mike's Turkey Trail Tramp # 9

Continuing the Turkey Tramp tradition, let me be your guide since I used to work here. We will meet at the Trail head located 1/2 mile into Mashamoquet Brook State Park located on Route 44 in Pomfret, CT. This year we will walk counterclockwise. This 4 1/2 mile, moderate, dog on leash hike, will allow you to crawl into the historic Wolf Den; sit on Indian Chair, where Chief Uncas once sat; take a short water/snack break; visit Stephen Avery's revolutionary War grave site; get post thanksgiving exercise and enjoy good company for a peaceful fun time. Please meet at 10:30 AM for an 11 AM sharp start. We will have an optional late lunch around 2:15 PM at the Vanilla Bean Cafe.
