An excellent trip overall!

The trip report

I booked the Super Sky Rider tour for GayOutdoors. The tour was absolutely incredible. Our guides were very cute, friendly, personable and helpful the entire time. We had a very diverse group of people; ages, confidence, abilities and personalities. Everyone in our group had a phenomenal time.

I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone that is considering it. The other levels of tours seemed like they would be fun too, however being a big adventure lover, I was very happy to have picked the one that I did, I mean, longer...higher...faster...why wouldn't you want that!?!

After gearing up, we took an 11 seat off-road vehicle (once used in the Swiss army) takes you up the mountain.  The ride is fun, but I don't suggest eating anything heavy before you go. :)

The ziplining was unbelievable.  The harness catches you right away once you leave the platform- I never felt unsafe and this made it easier to enjoy the ride (and the amazing foliage views).

I loved the running-start zips - such a great feeling.  The final zipline has the steepest drop and you swing back and forth a few times on the zip line before they help you down by a ladder.  Definitely something I'd like to do again.

An excellent trip overall!

About this event

Meeting Time is 2PM

This should be a blast with a group. We'll be doing the new Super SkyRider Zipline tour with Alpine Adventures in Lincoln, NH with longer, higher, faster and more ziplines than any other canopy tour in the U.S.

The all new Super Skyrider Zipline Tour has 9 zip and zap lines [up to 75 mph] and 3 suspension bridges. The Tour was created for those that wanted even more challenge, speed, thrills, and amazing views that their zipline courses are known for.

Along with the new ziplines and extended off-road tour, we'll get more suspension bridges, higher platforms, climbing elements and two 'zaplines' [it's a little twist on the traditional zipline that takes a bit more "work" from the rider]. And, a final zip that is...well, let's just say it's got some extra "zip" to it! This tour takes approximately 3.5 hours to complete.

It includes a 30 foot vertical ladder climb, more hiking and faster ziplines. You won't be able to participate if you have an existing physical limitation.

*IMPORTANT ~ The maximum weight range for this course is 220 lbs. * For all other restrictions, click here. Click here for photos and videos. For any questions such as what to wear, check out their FAQ. This outdoor adventure does not cancel for rain.

I've reserved 10 spots and obtained a group discount of $99 [regularly $109]. Once you sign up I'll contact you on how to send me a check. I'll take you off the list if I don't receive a check from you within 7 days of me contacting you.

After The Hike: We'll have dinner back on my house in Waterville Valley. It's BYOB and about $5 per person for food costs. Bring a change of clothes. I have lots of towels and everyone can take showers to clean up.

Lodging Option: I have 8 bunks available with linen for Saturday night at my house in Waterville Valley for $20. You can use the kitchen facilities and store beverages/food in the fridge. I serve coffee in the morning and a continental breakfast. Contact me to RSVP. SPACE IS LIMITED TO EIGHT GUYS.

So I nearly backed out at the beginning. Scared. And I can't say I ever actually enoyed being high up on a treetop platform while a cold wind was blowing, waving the tree back and forth. But this was a blast! The actual ziplining is crazy fun. Thanks, guys! And thanks, Mike, for being calm and coordinated enough to film it.

Thank you Mike & Jon for organizing this awesome event. I don't think I've ever said as many "Holy Sh*t's" to myself as I did during this zipping/zapping outing. Great slide show & pics!

Thanks Mike and Jon for a great day. I didn't think I was that scared at the time until I saw the pictures of me hugging the trees for dear life. We had a lot of fun and it was great to do it with such a nice group of guys. Thanks too for the great chicken and kielbasa afterwards. What a fun weekend! Sunshine kept me good company all night too.
