Kayak the Pemi River II

The trip report

We had a rainy start but otherwise it was a perfect day to be on the Pemi. It's July, so the water level was low enough to give us a number of butt massages along the way. Despite the holiday, we had stretches of the river all to ourselves.

After the kayak we met at the Mad River Tavern for a hearty lunch. A very nice day on the river!

About this event

We'll meet at Ski Fanatics off exit 28 I-93 at 10:30 AM sharp. I have reserved for a group of 15 persons for single seat kayak rentals. For a fee of  $35 Ski Fanatics will equip you with a kayak, paddle and life jacket. Fee also includes bus shuttle service to and from the river.  This is a relaxing leisurely event on the river. Pack plenty of H20, sunscreen and bug repellant.  We'll be on the water for about 4  hours making this an entire afternoon event. For those interested, we'll have dinner at a local eatery to cap off our day of relaxation.  Heavy rain / thunderstorm weather forecast cancels the event.

Looking forward to the upcoming trip. If there is a possibility that you cannot make the event please remove yourself from the reservation list to give those on the waiting list an opportunity to attend. Thanks...

The weather forecast is predicting scattered T storms for Sunday. We should be okay as the trip will end mid afternoon. I get soaked on these trips regardless. Reminder, if u think u can't make the trip plz remove your name from the reservation list. Thanks.

Hey guys,
To beat the forecasted rain showers in the afternoon we will not break for lunch. Bring snacks while on the water and for those interested we'll grab a bite at a local eatery after kayaking.
