About this event

Unlike my "bike ride & BBQ's" this event will be for "real" mountain bikers!  Although you don't need to be capable of doing stunts or riding non-stop on single-track for 4 hours straight , you DO need to have single-track experience and be capable of keeping up a normal riding pace on such trails.
In other words , cardiovascular speaking this is rated 'moderate' ; but technically speaking its rated 'strenuous'; due to the nature of the trails being roots , rocks , etc. There will be various streams and ponds which we will be able to stop and jump in also.  After the ride all are invited back to my house for a jump in my pool also.
Basically I will be running this event throughout the summer and the course will vary each time.  Peterborough is packed with single track trails and there are many more than can be done in one day!  So we will plan to ride at least 2 hours and , if the group wants , we can ride longer.  Since most of these trails are close to my home , the meeting location , one can always leave the group early.  I also have a support vehicle on call ( thanks Dad! ) so if there is a bike breakdown or you get tired you can be given a ride back.
Its a good idea to eat before the ride ( not too much! ) since we will be out in the woods and not near any stores.  Also water and bug spray , oh and helmets ARE required for this ride!
