Mt Watatic Hike

This was a fun, yet moderate hike to Mt. Watatic. 5 if us climbed the mountain to the first and second summit where there were great views to the East. We then followed the loop around the back side of the mountain where we walked along the MA/NH state line, and back to Rt 119. The total trip time was about 2 hours.

This hike will take us on a 3 mile loop over Mt. Watatic and around the back side of the mountain. The elevation is 1832 feet with a 650 foot climb. There is an excellent view to the East and South from the summit. This is usually a chilly peak, so please be prepared to dress very warmly.

Traction; microspikes may be needed, but I will advice during the week of the event. This is a well travelled trail, so snowshoes are very unlikely unless we get dumped on with snow right before the hike.
