About this event
Unlike my "bike ride & BBQ's" this event will be for "real" mountain bikers! Although you don't need to be capable of doing stunts or riding non-stop on single-track for 4 hours straight , you DO need to have single-track experience and be capable of keeping up a normal riding pace on such trails.
We will park in downtown Peterborough , NH and ride a mile or two on the road , passing thru scenic Peterborough and the local athletic fields , etc. Then we will enter into Macdowell Dam , a state park. From there we will access some nice single-track trails. Nothing too difficult , but enough challenge to make it fun for the adventurous rider! At the "end" of the trail we can decide to head back to downtown Peterborough via mostly downhill roads , or continue more single-track riding. Continuing on the trail brings us down some fun single-track hills and past an awesome private pond where we can jump in and cool down!
If we head back via the roads then this trip will last about 2 hours at most. Hopefully guys will want to do a little more and it will last accordingly. After the ride we can enjoy premium Ice Cream at a local shop and/or head back to my house for a cool swim in my pool! We will meet at 93 Old Greenfield Road , Peterborough , NH. 03458. Mapquest gives great directions. If you need further info email me. Arrive anytime between 12:30pm and 1:00 , but please be there by 1:00. It would be a good idea to eat before arriving! Also , PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE BEFORE 12:30! The property is gated and u will not be able to get in before that time. Thanks!
