I'm pretty much "out" in my local communities and within the hiking community. I am politically active. I'm fine with meeting new friends with nothing more expected.

Mt. Rogers/Grayson Highlands, VA; Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail, PA; Cold Mt./Tar Jacket Ridge area, VA; Shenandoah National Park; False Cape State Park, VA; Massanutten Mt., VA; much of the Appalachian Trail.

hiking, backpacking; have done all 500 mi. of trails in Shenandoah National Park, all of the Georgia to Maine Appalachian Trail, the Laurel Highlands Trail (PA), the Foothills Trail (NC/SC), much of the Tuscarora Trail (VA to PA), Virginia Creeper Trail, and more-either day-hiking or full backpacking. Sounds like I'm a jock. Not really, just like to finish what I start. Would like to find good friends to share the Trails with me and (sometimes) my dawg. Better yet a life partner who enjoys similar pursuits, but friends are good.
