as i work 2nd shift on Friday, i would be driving out early Saturday morning. but if others wanted a hotel for Friday night that your call. be cool if we all could crash as the same hotel place, would make meeting up way easier.

After posting the idea i realized November 1st i will be finding out if i get my parttime job for November and December. It's not stopping me from going, just make things more interesting. lol Im game for any trails. I have only ever gone up thunderbolt and down bel

Altrails says thunderbolt is closed due to erosion.

hmm just noticed the proposed early Saturday morning start, getting near grey lock would be a 2.5/3hr drive from my house, maybe could also stay Friday night locally?

thanks for floating the idea, as we discussed at wachusett this past weekend, I’m in. this could be about a 6+ mile hike and approx 2000+ ft elevation gain and still be moderate if we went up Gould and took bellows pipe/ thunderbolt down to make a loop, we would also have boots briefly on the AT. There is a local campground still open in November as an alternate to hotel stay

Sounds terrific! Wish I could go but I have the 2 dogs to take care of. I can't be away that long.

Hello. How many miles and what would be the difficulty level? Thank you.
