Come join us for a nice Saturday stroll on the Virginia Capital Trail beginning at Great Shiplock Park, travelling through Rocketts Landing (which has really grown) then along Old Osbourne Turnpike and surrounding farms before turning around and heading back for a late lunch at Poe’s Pub (2706 E Main St, Richmond, VA 23223) just a few blocks up the hill from Great Shiplock Park. Total hike is about 10 miles (5 out and 5 back) of easy (mostly flat) paved pathway.
Bring comfortable shoes, a liter or two of water, snacks, and a hat (due to the low sun angle) to reduce glare.
