This will be a moderate 14.8 mile hike on the AT from Low Gap Tennessee to Damascus, Va.

This is a long ridgetop hike with very little elevation change through secondary forests and old fields, quiet, pretty woods, and then a long descent from the Tennessee/Virginia state line into Damascus, Virginia. The descent which is about 5 miles long has an elevation drop of about 2000 ft.
There are several campgrounds and and one AT shelter on this hike.
Allow for 9 hours on the trail.
We will be leaving the morning meeting place at 8:00 AM sharp for the trailheads.
