Fisheating Creek- Paddle Adventure

Fisheating Creek Wildlife Management Area is one of the most pristine and undisturbed natural wildlife animals in the state of Florida.

Details

The cost is very minimal, the entry fee to the park is $2 per person and it is free to bring your own kayak to paddle. If you wish to rent a single kayak it will be $28 for 4 hours, or a double kayak is 4 hours 4 for $35. We will be starting and returning to the same point. The creek is very flat and flows very slowly. The trip will be led by a University of Florida certified Master Naturalist. It is suggested that you have a kayak experience and be familiar with kayaking. Chances are very good that we will encounter native Wildlife to the area, which could include many animals including alligators. If you bring your own kayak please have some experience in it and be comfortable paddling it. If you have any further questions about paddling on fisheating Creek you could call the fish eating Creek Outpost at 863-675-5999. They will be able to answer any questions or any other concerns you may wish to address. This trip is part of the GO Gathering weekend, so we will meet as a group in front of the Lodge at Vitambi Springs at 10 a.m. on Sunday and convoy as a group to Fisheating Creek Outpost an hour away from the campground. If you wish you can meet us at the state park if you are not going to be attending the Gathering.

I'll meet you guys at the Outpost wherever the kayak/canoe launch is. (I'll have my white Subaru and yellow kayak. If you see a clueless guy with those wandering around, it'll be me.)
