Withlacoochee River Hikes
Two Hikes - One Day
Details
The day's hikes will consist of two hikes with a short car ride between them due to the Withlacoochee River separating the trails. The bridge is no longer there.
Hike 1 - Approximately 5 miles between the Hog Island Campground and the Iron Bridge Recreation area.
Hike 2 - Approximately 7.5 miles betwwen the Silver Lake Campground and the Withlacoochee State Trail (bike trail) trailhead on the north side of SR 50. Note we will not be on the bike trail
Both of the hikes will require a shuttle.
Be sure to have comfortable shoes, water and snacks for lunch.
Parking fees may be required at the Silverlake Campground trailhead.

Meeting place is the Burger King on SR 50 just west of I-75, at I-75 exit 301. 30290 Cortez Blvd., Ridge Manor, Fla.
