Sundance Scenic Hamptons Bike Weekend
Join us for one or two days of extremely scenic coastal touring with beautiful backroads, lighthouses, and quaint island architecture.
Details
Sundance returns to the spectacular landscape of Eastern Long Island for friendly two-wheeled touring in and beyond the fabled Hamptons. Please join our group of intermediate-level riders for moderately-paced rides from East Hampton to Shelter Island, Montauk, Orient Point, and other beautiful coastal destinations that are best experienced on bike. The Hamptons region has attracted artists, writers, free-thinkers, and the wealthy for centuries; if you’re not familiar with the “Eastern End,” this trip will provide a great introduction. Day riders are welcome to come along on Saturday or Sunday. A Saturday evening post-ride barbeque is planned (vegan friendly). Travel via LIRR or car pool to East Hampton. Note: housing is not provided but ask leaders for guidance. Equipment needed includes multi-speed bike, LIRR Bike Pass, bungee cords, helmet, spare tube, sunglasses/block, swimsuit, waterbottle, snacks, towel, weekend gear. Please contact leaders ASAP to register!
Directions
The meeting place will be in East Hampton train station, Railroad Ave. at appx. 9:30 am. Please register now and we will confirm start time/place with participants in advance.
