Easy, beautiful Mountain Bike ride
Mountain Biking, Pocahontas State Park
Easy, beautiful Mountain Bike ride
Details
I have an extra Mountain Bike, so no excuses for not trying out this trail!
A nice bike ride about 5 miles long (40 minutes) which will challenge you without making you wish you stayed home! There are lots of great mountain biking trails in Pocahontas but we'll go on the Fendly Station Road which rings the entire park.

We'll first meet near Ledo Pizza, 7052 Commons Plaza, Chesterfield, VA, just off Beach Road. I'll have a WHITE 4-dr Honda Accord with trailer hitch bike rack. Then we'll drive down the 3.5 miles to the entrance of the park. This will save you a few bucks if you want to drive to the park with me. If not, you can follow me and pay the modest entrance fee.
Use mapquest or Maps.Google on "State Park Road and Beach Road, Chesterfield, VA" to get to the turn off and to get to the main gate.
The trail head is near the Nature Center and Heritage Center, about 1/4 mile from the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Museum. We'll start the ride in the parking lot near, but not next to the Nature Center (you'll see other bikers parked for sure).
