Get out for a leg stretcher to the summit of Great Blue Hill and back to your car at Houghtons Pond. Right now I am thinking I will do the longer hike on Skyline up to the towers. Total hike time will be about 2.5 hours and 5 miles. We will keep moving at a pretty good pace with intentions to be back at the cars about 12:30. Even though the Blue Hills ar near Boston, they are pretty rugged. Make sure you are ready with good shoes, water and a snack.

Hike leaves at 10 am from Houghtons Pond Parking Lot, (840 Hillside Street, Milton, MA 02186), at the end of the lot farthest away from the concessions and playground. I'll be in a Tacoma not much before 10 am since I live close by. My cell # is 617-835-4531. We will not be waiting past 10 for late arrivers because my afternoon is booked. 

If the main lot is full, park in overflow, walk to the main lot via the trail in back of the pond or however you can get to the main lot and look for me carrying a yellow backpack or call my cell.
