Hiking Week Bavarian Alps /Oberammergau

KING LUDWIG II HIKING WEEK BAVARIAN ALPS / GERMANY

Hiking Week Bavarian Alps /Oberammergau

KING LUDWIG II HIKING WEEK BAVARIAN ALPS / GERMANY

Details

We will follow the steps of "Fairytale" King Ludwig II of Bavaria ( who was gay) and hike to his mountain lodges and castles in the Alps. Louis had some royal lodges at special places up in the mountains. He loved these places because of their beautiful location, scenic views and because they are romantically hidden.
We will visit these mountain lodges and walk to Jagschloß Schachen (1800 meters elevation),  to Brunnenkopfhäusern (1600 meters elevation), to Soiernhaus and to Pürschlinghaus (1550 meters elevation).
We will also visit his famous castles Neuschwanstein und Linderhof and the ancient monastery of Ettal. Linderhof should be the most gay and crazy castle in the world. The mountain hikes/walks will be from 4 to 5 hours. They are moderate to strenous level. You need: Hiking shoes, a backpack, outdoor clothing for sunny/warm weather as well as for cold and wet weather. Our accomodation will be in a nice small B&B in the famous bavarian mountain villiage Oberammergau. We will have breakfast at the b&b, our lunch for the hikes we will buy in a supermarket and for diner we will go in a bavarian restaurant at Oberammergau.
We will be a small group of  5 - 10 international guys.

Costs per person for the 7 days for accomodation, breakfast, tax :
double room 369 €
