Kayaking on the Historic James River

I have one extra kayak for someone to use!

A very relaxing trip on a The James River, Hugenot Flat Water Park, James River Parks System.

We’ll head downstream and under the bridge.  There will be a few islands we can stop.  There is a train track that follows up downstream with a couple of historic houses on the hillside.  Always a great trip that I have done quite a few times.

There is plenty of nature to watch:  Osprey, Great Blue Herons, Ducks and Canada Geese to name a few.

LOCATION: Just off Huguenot Road at the base of Huguenot River Bridge.

Entrance to park is 8600 Riverside Drive, Richmond, VA (corner of Riverside and Southhampton Rd.).  You’ll see the stone market and Park sign at the park main gate (See picture)

I'll have a gray 2007 Ford 4x4 Truck with a Kayak in the back.
