Stephens State Park Hike/lunch
Hike the beautiful trails of Stephens State Park, Followed by lunch
Details
We will meet at 10:45AM at the park, in the main parking lot near the Park Office, just off Park Rd (which is the road that comes into the park from the main entrance off of Willow Grove Street).
We will do a short hike of a couple hours followed by lunch at a local restaurant/diner in the Hackettstown area. Those that wish to remain and hike more of the park's many trails are welcome to do so or return after lunch. Those joining us for lunch must make sure to bring small bills for change (everyone must pay for his own food, drinks, tip & tax).
I will provide a phone number for all those attended should you need to contact me. However, please leave plenty of time to get there and be on time. Everyone appreciates it.
Directions
Willow Grove Street (Route 604), 2 miles east of Hackettstown or 7.5 miles west of Route 206 on Waterloo Road (Route 604).
Note: If you are coming down from off of Rte 80 and heading south on Rte 604/Grove Street, you will pass the Nat. Guard building on the Right just before coming to the entrance. If heading North on Rte 604/ Grove St. you the entance is just after the House of Good Shepard. The entrance road is rahter narrow and is a one way in and out. Once you go down that main entrance road, you will have to make a right across the little bridge to the parking lot. Will meet at that lot in front of the Old Stone Lime Kiln. If it the first lot is full, once across the bridge, you can continue straight ahead to another lot further down (just walk back to meet us at the Lime Kiln in the first lot.
