WEATHER AND OTHER SUDDEN EVENTS CAN CAUSE SUDDEN CHANGES TO OR CANCELLATION OF THIS EVENT. YOU MUST CHECK BACK TO THE GAY OUTDOORS OFTEN FOR ANY CHANGES.

TO BRING: Flash light OR head lamp, food/lunch/snacks and at least liters of water, first aid items. Wear multiple layers of synthetic materials for warmth; including gloves and wool hat. Don't forget rain gear.

NOTE: You are responsible for bringing appropriate gear, supplies, clothing, first aid and headlamp. You should review trail map and trail features carefully; understanding topography of any difficult hike is key to your knowing where you are, where you're going and how to get back.

After The Hike: Bring a change of clothing and we'll have dinner together at the Red Fox Bar and Grill in nearby Jackson, NH.

Lodging Option: We have 8 bunks available at our house near Waterville Valley, NH for Friday and Saturday night for $20 per night. Coffee/bagels each morning and linen/blankets/towels are provided. We have limited space in the fridge to store your beverages/food so it's best to bring a small cooler. Space is limited so email us ASAP to reserve a bunk!

So far, the weather is supposed to be nice on Sat. I am counting down to the day!!.
Gandalf · Oct 8, 2012
Must be a website glitch as to why your comments Todd repeated so much. Unable to them. Forecast for Saturday so far is sunny be dressed for 'winter' conditions. High temperature without factoring the wind will be 30 degrees and there is already snow on the summit.

The forecast is for SUN but it will be COLD with 30 - 50 mph winds. Check out this weather link to the Mt Washington Observatory. Bring back up gear for this COLD weather!!http://www.mountwashington.org/weather/summit_forecast.php
Could be ice as well - MICRO-Spikes or other traction could be needed!
