In central Massachusetts, the Northampton Bikeway runs 2.6 miles between Northampton and the Look Memorial Park in Florence. This well - maintained rail-trail is perfect for a freah-air outing in a relaxed setting. It also serves as a vital commuter route, offering a convenient connection between the residential areas of Florence and downtown Northampton.
Location: Hampshire County
Endpoints: Northampton to Florence. We will be starting from the Northampton point at the trail head which starts between the Super Stop and shop and the liquor 44.
Mileage: 2.6 miles one way. We will be doing a round trip walk for a total of 5.2 miles
Surface: Asphalt
Rain will cancel this event however the forecast is calling for partly cloudy skies with temps close to 50 degrees on Tuesday.
Directions
To reach the Northampton trailhead, take interstate 91 to Exit 19 and head west on Damon Road. After about a block, turn left on US Hwy. 5/King Street. On the right you will see the Super Stop and shop plaza. Take a right into the plaza and the trail head is on the left between the stop and shop and the liquor 44 store.
