Once again Bike/Walk CT is sponsoring a day of outdoor activities based out of Bushnell Park in downtown Hartford.  There'll be led walks of various lengths in and around the downtown area and marked bike rides or 10-, 15- 25- and 45 miles which will take you through most of Hartford's parks (ALL of them on the 45-mile ride which includes Batterson Park in Farmington).  I'm hoping to do the 45-mile ride but participants are certainly welcome to join in the fun and choose whatever ride would be most comfortable for them.  All event information and pre-registration ($18-30) can be found at: http://www.hartfordbiketour.org.  Pre-registration saves time and money ($40 day of the event) but there are NO refunds in the even of lousy weather.  I won't be riding if it's raining but might go on one of the walks.

The tour website includes an interactive DIRECTIONS section to get you from your house to Bushnell Park.  I'll be in touch with all registrants by Friday 21 October with any further details.  Depending upon how many people sign up, it might make sense for all to meet at my house (a mile from Bushnell Park) and ride down to pick up our tour packets and roll off @ 8AM.
