This Mountain Bike event will follow single track and fire road trails, as well as few rideable boardwalks over wetlands. From the DCR Parking lot, we will warm up along Powells Island, and then follow to the main section of the trails. After warmup, we will ride through the small but technical section of trails which run alongside Rt. 128. This section has narrow single track trails with short but steep hills having a roller coaster affect. (We will pass through this section at everyones pace, it does not require alot of techical skill and is a small section of the overall event). We will then explore some of the side trails along the wetlands and Charles River. These side trails include the neighboring Brook Farm & Millenium Park (Roxbury), or Nonanton Park (Newton). This ride will last for 2-3 hours.

Please bring water, a helmet, and warm clothing.

Take exit 19A from route 95 (route 128) in Needham (heading east).
Turn right on 2nd Ave into the industrial park. (There will be a Staples and a PetCo at this intersection.)
Turn right on 4th Ave.
Then turn right on Kendrick St.
The DCR's Cutler Park parking lot is about 300 yards ahead on your left.
