Blue Hils Skyline Trail Hike

Enjoy the Blue Hills Skyline Trail with great views and close to Boston.

Details

This hike will follow the Skyline Trail from Rt 138 in Canton to North Boyce Hill in the middle section of the Blue Hills. We will first pass over Great Blue Hill (635') which has the weather observatory and excellent views. We will then follow the trail through the center of the reservation to Tucker Hill and North Boyce Hill, both of which have good views of Boston and the surrounding area. We will follow the loop back. This section of trail is about 6-7 miles long, and should take 2-3 hours with breaks and such.

Directions

Take the Rt 138 exit off 128, (Exit 2 off 128/93) go north through one set of lights to the first parking area on the left. We will meet at the north east corner of the parking lot at 10 AM. If you are on the T, we can make arrangements to get you to this hike because it is not very far from the Red Line and Commuter rail.
