Cycling the NH / ME Seacoast

Spirited Cycling Trip from Portsmouth to Ogunquit, Maine and back. ....approx 50 miles of rolling hills.

Details
This ride is co-sponsored by Fernando Alvarez of GO and is meant to assist riders in gaining the conditioning to ride the Outriders one day ride from Boston to P'town 130 miles on June 19th (see outriders.org)
We'll meet in Portsmouth at 9:30 am and ride along the Atlantic seacoast through Portsmouth, Kittery, ME, York and to Ogunquit.
The plan is to keep a spirited pace of 15- 18 mph average. We will stop at the famous Nubble Light House in York, ME for a waterstop (15 mile mark) and then Ogunquit (22 mile mark) for a snack break.....and eye candy. For those wanting a little extra challenge, we can ride the hill climb to Mt. Agamenicus (highest point in York County ME)....an additional 6 miles.
We will return via an inland route and be treated to the many ponds of the York Water Commission, the York River and then back to Kittery and Portsmouth. The final 22 mile leg will most likely have only one stop at the 20 mile point from Ogunquit for water/ quick snack...., so riders should bring enough water for 20-25 miles without refueling.
Directions
Interstate 95 into NH, through the Hamtpon Toll booth....then take Exit 3 (Portsmouth / Greenland).
At the top of the ramp, take a RIGHT, travel approx 400 yards and take a LEFT into the park and ride lot. The lot is located under some high voltage/ high tension utility lines.
