Join Jeff Mee for a kayaking trip around Bowdish Reservoir at the George Washington Camping Area, Glouster, RI. We will meetup at the public beach in the camping area and paddle 4 miles in approxiomately 2 hours. Never kayaked before? Then this is a great beginner trip, all flat water. Kayak rentals are not available but I have 2 spare kayaks to loan out on a first come first served basis.
Directions
The camping area is on Route 44, Glouster, RI. Route 44 is accessible from Route 295 in Smithfield, Rhode Island and head west on Route 44, or Route 395, Putnam Connecticut and head east on Route 44. There might be a small entrance day use fee to get into the camping area, the state has been unclear about the date they actually start collecting entrance fees.
