Peak Bag Moriah

Peak Bag Mt Moriah

Details
The plan is to bag 3 of the 6 summits left for Dan to finish the 48. Sunday we will bag Carter Dome and S Carter. Monday we will do Moriah. We'll be staying somewhere in the Gorham area Sat & Sunday nights. Since we are now fair weather hikers, I will use NOAA.com before driving 3 hrs from Boston. If NOAA has 30% or more chance of rain on either Sunday or Monday, will postpone both hikes to a different weekend. The plan for this hike to is use the Carter Moriah Trail from Bangor Rd to the summit of Moriah. Book time is 3:50 one way and 3400 feet of elevartion gain. You'll need plenty of water, good shoes, appropriate clothing and some food. We will leave the meeting spot at 9:00 am and should be back at the cars by 4 pm.
Directions
We'll meet at the trail head lot for the Carter Moriah Trail on Bangor Rd. From Boston Google Maps says 93 North to exit 35 in NH onto US 3 north for 12.3 miles. Right at Rt. 115 north for 9.6 miles. Then onto RT 2 East for 12.5 miles. Right onto Main or still Rt 2 East for 1.9. and finally right onto Bangor St. The maps look like there is a trail heada parking area near the end of this road. We will meet there at 9 am.
