Hamlin Conservation Area Snowshoe

A Loop Snowshoe Trip in the Lakes Region.

Details
Join me for this 5.5 mile snowshoe trek into the Hamlin Recreation and Conservation Area. This trip follows the Crocketts Ledge Loop Trail, which offers views of Beaver Meadow, old-growth forest, ledges, Lake Wicwas and the White Mountains. The total elevation gain is only 300 feet reaching an elevation of 900 feet at the ledges.
Trailhead: From Rt. 93 take Exit 23 and continue on Rt. 104 to Meredith Center Road (approximately 4.8 miles). Take a right onto Meredith Center Rd and continue until Chemung Road is reached. Take this right and follow the signs for the Hamlin area parking lot. Look for a grey Toyota Corolla. The week of the trip, I'll send out details for carpooling to the trailhead, if anyone wishes.
What to Bring: Please dress accordingly for a day in winter conditions, bring your snowshoes and wear appropriate boots with thick socks. Also bring along snacks, water, lunch and anything else you may require for the day.
Afterwards: We should be completed with the hike by 4-5 PM. If there is sufficient interest, we'll cap the day off with dinner/drinks in the area afterwards.
