West Thomspon Dam hike and activities

Oct 31 Hike, Croquet, Bonfire, Potluck

Details

Come join the group of us for an easy 2 hour 4 mile hike around West Thompson Lake in Thompson Connecticut. This lake was formed by flow of the Quinnebaug river and an Army Corp dam project completed in 1965. This pristine area is used by many mountain bikers, hikers, kayakers and disc golf enthusiasts. Dogs are certainly welcomed on a leash and the tame ones can be let to run in some opened areas of the hike, but unfortunately not quite so welcomed for the eXtreme Croquet and Bonfire. Bring a packed lunch as we will stop along the way. Otherwise there is a restaurant you can visit after the hike as well. After this hike you are invited to wander over to Jeff's place which is about 15 miles to the south in Danielson where eXtreme Croquet is planned segwaying into a Bonfire/Outdoor Potluck in the PM.

Plan to come for one, two or all three parts of this event.

Costumes are optional!

11am meeting for hike.
2pm Croquet
4:30 Bonfire/Outdoor Potluck
