Mt. Moosilauke Hike

Hike Mt. Moosilauke, NH's westernmost four-thousand footer.

Details

We will be hiking up the Beaver Brook trail, which is probably the steepest but most interesting of the trails up to Moosilauke's summit. A good portion of this trail goes along the cascading waters of the Beaver Brook, offering good spots for rest on the way up. We will be coming down the Benton Trail which is a fairly easy walk back down to the cars. We will be meeting at 8:30 a.m. sharp, at the Beaver Brook trailhead parking, as we need to go spot cars at the Benton Trail exit. Rain will cancel.

Directions: The trailhead for Beaver Brook is located at Kinsman Notch. From I-93 take exit 32 west to Woodstock and NH Rt. 112. Go for about 10 miles on Rt 112 West to Kinsman Notch, where you will see a hiker's sign on the right side of the road, and the trailhead parking on the left. I drive a silver RAV4
