If you are going to the Kernville 18th Annual Fat Tire Festival and still want more then I've got if for you.
My friend and I are arriving a day early to do Slate Mountain.  We'll have two cars leaving Kernville early AM on Thursday 10/16.  We'll have my parents as a support crew, and access to the family cabin after the ride.  Lunch at the Ponderosa,  Then onto the second half of the trail all the way down to Camp Nelson. 
The ride is nearly 90% downhill...Sierra downhill...a real treat.
